Dr. Tuesday Pearson, founder of Joya Women's Healthcare is a top rated board certified Ob/Gyn in Portland, OR. Dr. Pearson was born and raised in Portland. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School followed by the University of Oregon where she received her Bachelor of Science in General Sciences. After college, Dr. Pearson spent several years working as a researcher within the Oregon Health and Sciences University department of trauma.

Dr. Pearson attended Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. A guiding force in her decision to pursue an osteopathic degree was her concept of health as an interaction of the mind and complete body. This is the cornerstone of the Osteopathic philosophy.
During her time in medical school, Dr. Pearson fell in love with women’s medicine. She moved to New York City where she completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and was trained in both the basics and more specialized areas of women's healthcare. Her love of caring for patients was obvious during her time in residency, and she was selected for chief resident in her final year of training.
Despite traveling across the country for education and training, Dr. Pearson's heart has always been in the Pacific Northwest and in 2014 she returned to Portland, Oregon. It is in Portland that she is finally able to bring her ideas about complete women's healthcare to fruition in a luxury setting.
